The heir apparent to the late Obi of Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nduka Ezeaguna, 20, has already been crowned by the community’s kingmakers. Daily Independent reports that Nduka, a 300 level Chemical Engineering student of the University of Ibadan, is however, said to be regretting his inability to celebrate with his father, Henry Ezeaguna, who was due to mark his birthday on August 28, 2014.

All is now set for the annual Inne festival of Issele uku scheduled to take place at the palace of the king, His Royal Majesty, Obi Agbogidi Nduka. Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the monarch assured that this year’s annual Inne festival of Issele Uku will be the best of its kind in the history of the town.

The Traditional Ruler of Issele-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Obi Agbogidi Nduka, MNSE, last week visited the United States’ Consul-General in Nigeria, Mr. John Bray. he visit to the official residence of the Consul-General located at Ikoyi, Lagos was the royal father’s maiden visit to the Consul-General in Nigeria. HRM, Obi Nduka, was accompanied on the visit by HRM, Obi Agbogidi Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha and Chief David Kanebi Siunoje, the Olikaeze of Issele-Uku Kingdom. They were received by the Mr. John Bray and the Political/Economic Officer in the Consulate, Mr. Benjamin Williams.

All roads will on Sunday, April 1, 2018, lead to Onicha-Ugbo and Issele-Uku towns in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State as the traditional rulers of the two neighbouring communities honour the Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission (DTHASC), Barrister (Mrs.) Josephine Ada Kachikwu with Chieftaincy titles.

THE ancient Kingdom of Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, is currently revelling in the excitement of the coronation of its king, Obi Nduka Ezeagwuna 11. It was indeed an atmosphere of celebration as Obi Ezeagwuna ascended the throne of his forefathers on December 21, 2016, calling for peace, unity, and recreation of Issele Uku in line with its cultural values.
